Master Chef's!!
As part of their extended school's program the Urban Crew visited Manchester Communication's Academy Food Science Department for a spot of cooking.
Mr Hale helped to demonstrate how to make a vegetable stir fry from scratch and then in pairs the Crew were let loose with knives to make their own!!!
After clearing up the Crew learnt about what goes on a "Healthy Plate" and the many different food types and their benefits.

Urban Crew V The Apprentice
Last Friday members of the School's Urban Crew went to the Manchester Communication Academy to compete against 8 other schools in an apprentice style challenge.
Their task was to design and produce their own CD's and sell them to members of staff in a Market Place. The "2 Good To Be True" series of 2 track CD's were produced with 8 different combination of tracks. They used a projector and a rolling Powerpoint presentation to help advertise their range of products.
I thought they did brilliantly working out the costs and being really enthusiastic sellers. Great team work, well done!
